Gerald Edwin Flocchini
October 5, 1037 – July 21, 2023
Jerry Flocchini was born in Crescent City, CA and was the youngest of ten children. He moved to Klamath Falls as a young child and loved growing up and living close to Klamath Lake. He often spoke of the times ice skating, water skiing and camping at Rocky Point that brought him many fond memories.
He met the love of his life, Sharon when they were seniors at Klamath Union High School, and loved to tell the story that "she asked him" to the Senior Dance. They were married in December 1956 and had three children: Teri, Tami and Todd. They were married for 65 years when Sharon predeceased him in death on 7/02/22.
He began his career in law enforcement in 1959. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1986 and then Detective Sergeant in 1972. As he served the community of Klamath Falls for 38 years, he had a large impact on many of our local population. Being the first to write them a ticket or pour out their beers but always the solid rock that was there for some of the worst days in people's lives.
Upon retirement he took a 3 month trip traveling across the United States with his wife Sharon in their motorhome with their very close friends, sharing a wonderful adventure and a great love of exploring our great Nation. He loved to tell people that they traveled from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine, and often spoke of the wonderful times they had.
For many years they were snowbirds near Palm Springs, CA where he got to golf every day and loved it! He was also an avid hunter, loved camping, boating, and the great outdoors.
He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Reames Golf and Country Club, proudly served in the National Guard, and was an active part of the community.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Teri and Mike Kern, daughter Tami Henderson, and son and daughter-in-law Todd Flocchini and Gian Christmas. He is further survived by his grandchildren Danielle and Sam Raha, Bren and Dorthy Kern, Torren and Katie Kern, Sean and Jill Henderson, Jeffrey Henderson, Laura Flocchini and Julia Flocchini, as well as his great grandchildren Sierra Raha, Aidan Raha, Conner Kern, Jason Kern, Hailey Kern, and Kayla Kern.
Although we will greatly miss his sense of humor and presence on earth, he is now in heaven in the presence of God and reunited with his beautiful bride of 65 years. We can only imagine the beautiful smile that is on his face.
