Carmelita, Abion-Rodriguez Jensen 09/25/1947 – 05/16/2021 Carmelita also known as “Lydia” by everyone that has ever met and knew her, was born in Legazpi City, Philippines living as a single mother with two sons she had a simple but hard life, doing everything she could possibly do to provide for her sons, until she met the man that would change her life forever. Mark Jensen in the middle of a divorce would meet Lydia, in Olongapo City Philippines, where they both fell in love with each other and would have a third child Jane in 1981. After getting married on August 31, 1983 Lydia and Mark would start their lives in America, finally fulfilling a dream that Lydia had coming to America and giving her kids the best life, she could only dream of. Finally in America and starting out in Napa, California, she would meet her extended family, Sheryl, Marie, Paul, Bob, and Dave. She had accepted Marks’s children with open arms and an open heart. Lydia solidified the American Dream with hard work and determination by becoming a US Citizen on April 19, 1988. While in California she would pursue her passions of Fishing, gardening, and cooking. Growing up in the Philippines she knew what it meant to go hungry, and she refused to let anyone that came into her home to not leave without a full belly. Lydia and Mark would make constant trips with their families to various rivers and lakes enjoying the great outdoors and the beauty America had to offer. In 1988 Lydia and Mark would yet take another piece of the American dream by purchasing land and building a house on a five-acre plot in Chiloquin Oregon where she would continue her passions of fishing, and gardening. During her time in Oregon, she would make many friends and continue to touch the hearts of everyone she met. Lydia was the most kind and caring person anyone could have ever met, she will be missed greatly our guiding light has been extinguished, but the light she has instilled in our family will always be lit brightly in memory for generations to com. She is survived by Her sons and daughters, and everyone that was ever proud to call her Sister, Friend, Aunt, Grandma, and MOM.
