Charles "Chuck" P. Palumbo, 66, passed away in Klamath Falls, Ore. on March 13, 2021. He was born July 13, 1954 in KaiserSlautern, Germany to Phillip and Audrey Palumbo. Being in a military family, Chuck and his siblings moved around quite a bit, some overseas, such as Germany and Okinawa, then back to the states. Chuck met Shawna Leroy in high school, and after graduation they married and had a beautiful daughter named Jenny. That marriage ended, and Chuck met Barbara a few years later in Keno, Oregon, where he was playing drums in a band called Lights Out. After several years together, Chuck and Barbara were married in Reno, Nev. on July 18, 1990. Chuck was an incredibly gifted drummer. He joined a band called Saddle Tramp, and together they opened for big names such as Johnny Cash, the Bellamy Brothers, Kentucky Headhunters, and Wild Rose. In the early 90's, they won the Klamath County Country Showdown, beating out 8 other bands to take the title. Chuck also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. He loved all of his children, but his grandchildren had his heart. There were annual summer camping trips and vacations in Seaside. He looked forward every year to the Klamath Cruise, which always brought fond memories of all his classic cars. Chuck was always the life of the party, and nobody could tell a story like he could! He will forever be fondly remembered and missed by his family.
