He was preceded by his parents Edwin “Eddy” Pollock and beloved mother Marilyn Mae (Meyer) Pollock. Born December 30, 1960 in Watsonville, CA, David was soon joined by sister Deanna Jo “BirDEE” in 1963. The family enjoyed travels in their motorhome to destinations including Washington DC and several trips to Canada. David loved building and designing model train layouts and even made a model of Disneyland. He had a childlike heart, loving to laugh and be goofy, play piano and guitar. During three summers he also taught at their Summer Camp. Daughter Jennifer was born in 1991 and son Daniel in 1993. David and Cynthia became live-in house managers for Aptos Hills Ranch in California (a residential care facility for the developmentally disabled) from 1993-1994. In 1995 the family moved to Grants Pass, OR where daughter Melissa was born. David worked various jobs before landing a teaching job at Christian Life School of Rogue River, OR where he taught from 1997-2002. Elementary students loved the voice impersonations he used when reading stories. From 2003-2016 David taught math at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass. All together he taught 28 years: 15 years for grades 1-12 and 13 years college. In 2006 David married Cindy Micka Wright and the couple became caregivers for his mother Marilyn. She passed in 2020.
