Debra Lea Staffen, 71 passed away August 1, 2026 in Klamath Falls, OR. She was born in Klamath Fall, OR Oct. 10, 1954 to Clifford and Iris Nelson. She grew up here locally and attended school at Klamath Union. Debra worked as a teacher's Aide for Klamath County School district. She meet Michael in Klamath Falls and they were married in 1986. Together they enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and hunting mushrooms. Debra also enjoyed playing pool and meeting new people. Debra loved to have fun but most off all loved to dance. You could find Debra most Saturday afternoon at Chicken and Cheers playing in the pool tournament.

She is survived by her husband; Michael Staffen of Klamath Falls, OR, Children; Wendy Strohkirch (Steven Strohkirch) Aaron Brown (Jessica Phillips). Brother; Terry Nelson' granddaughter; Jocelynn Gray and Great Granddaughter; Charlee.

Debra is preceded in death by her parents Cliford and Iris Nelson,

Her celebration of life is Saturday August 8, 2026 1:00 pm at New Horizon Christian Fellowship, 1909 Homedale Rd, Klamath Falls OR. She will be deeply missed by many family and friends.
