Gail Linda Hamilton

Gail Linda Hamilton, age 78, passed away on May 9, 2026.

Gail was born on October 2, 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island, to Frank and Mildred Hamilton. She grew up in Rhode Island and graduated from South Kingston High School before joining the Army in 1967. She later settled in Santa Barbara, California, where she cared for her father before his passing.

Gail began her career with Weyerhaeuser Timber Products before later transitioning to Merle West Medical Center. She was a hardworking woman who spent much of her life in physically demanding jobs while raising her children as a single mother. No matter the challenges she faced, she worked tirelessly to provide for her family, and her strength and determination carried through every stage of her life.

Gail loved sports, her family, and her dogs - though not necessarily in that order, depending on the day.

She was a devoted mother to her two children, Frank and Loretta, and spent countless hours supporting them in sports, band, and many other activities. Her time, energy, and love were often poured into the people she cared about most.

She is survived by her children, Frank and Loretta; her sister, Carol; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Hamilton and Mildred Ogden, and her brother, Walter Hamilton.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held for friends and family at a later date.
