Gerald Lee Hargrove, 74, passed away Feb. 23, 2023 in Klamath Falls, Ore. He was born in Redmond, Ore. on Dec. 6, 1948 to Robert and Dorothy Hargrove. He grew up in Oregon, graduating from KU High School in 1968. Gerald served in the military and served his country during the Vietnam war. He worked as a train engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad. After retiring from the railroad, he also operated a small trucking and construction company. Gerald married Sandra Horton in November of 2009. Jerry’s pride and joy was his two twin daughters. He loved taking them to rodeos and jackpot team ropings at the Vowell Brothers Arena. He also loved to hunt, fish, golf and he had a special passion and was a natural bowler. Jerry is survived by his wife Sandra Hargrove of Klamath Falls; daughters, Susan (Cody) Barney, Amy (Ryon) Freeman; sons, Daniel (Kristi) Jurief, Christopher (Alyssa) Jurief and Kurt (Kathy) Wall; grandchildren, Annie Quinn, Tyler, Tate, Cade, Hagen, Kenzie, Wyatt, Gentry, Lulu and Jojo; great granddaughter, Quinlynn Jewel. Jerry was preceded in death by his biological father, Robert Lee Hargrove, father William Harvey Stiles and mother Dorothy Ellen Stiles.
A service with military honors, followed by interment, will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Oregon.
