Jackie "Rip" Wayne Wegner

March 8, 1944 - May 26, 2026


Jackie "Rip" Wayne Wegner, 82, of Keno, Oregon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

He was born on March 8, 1944 in Cordele, Georgia, to Raymond Fredrick Wegner and Jessie Iris (Gibbs) Wegner. After graduating from Henley High School, he went on to become a logger for two years. He then started a fulfilling career with the State Highway Department, retiring after 30 years as a Foreman. He also served his community as a Volunteer Firefighter and helping anyone in need. Rip enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, cutting wood, mushroom picking, and camping. He was known for his sharp sense of humor, quick wit, and ability to bring a smile to those around him.

Rip is survived by his daughter, Lana (Wegner) Guynn, and her husband, Darin Guynn; his granddaughters, Bryanna (Ben) and Amber (Tyler); his son-in-law, Jeff Randall; his grandsons, Derek (Vanessa), Cody (Ceara), Matthew, and Michael; as well as nine beloved great-grandchildren, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and wisdom. He was preceded in death by his former spouse, Sheri Wegner, daughter, Shannon Randall, and son, Jackie "Bo" Wegner.

A graveside service at Keno Cemetery will be held on June 6, 2026 at 11:00 am with a celebration in his honor directly following the service at Keno Fire Station, 14800 Puckett Rd, Keno Oregon 97627.
