Jessie Clarice Buehler, 94 of Klamath Falls died June 19, 2023 in her apartment at Crystal Terrace. Jessie was born August 20,1928, in Valley City, North Dakota to Peter and Alice Nielson. She grew up on the Nielson farm outside of Hope, North Dakota, along with her four siblings. The family moved into town her sophomore year where she graduated from Valley City High School. She studied education at Valley City State Teacher's College and earned her teaching degree in elementary education. There she met and eventually married James Buehler. The two raised three children, moving from North Dakota communities of Hazelton, Cooperstown, Watford City and Dickenson before making a permanent move to Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Jessie taught at Roosevelt and Mills Elementary schools for twenty-six years. Her retirement years were spent traveling, working around the house and spending time with family. She volunteered as an after school mentor for children at her church. Her love for being around children kept her busy throughout her life.
Jessie is survived by her daughters; Beth (David) Drew, Jeanne (Tim) Barbouletos, son; Larry (Nancy) Buehler, eight grand children, and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings and her husband, James. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Klamath Hospice. A Private family service will be held at a later date. Cascade Cremation & Burial is helping with arrangements.
