Joe Lindsey Primm, 88 of Klamath Falls, Oregon passed away on 26 June 2026 at home with his children by his side.

Joe was born on 30 January 1938 in Wallowa, Oregon to loving parents Joseph Lindsey Primm and Beulah Mae (Magill) Primm. He was an only child raised in Hermiston, Oregon where he graduated high school in 1956.

During his youth, Joe was active in football, baseball, boxing, and racing his soapbox derby car that he and his dad built, subsequently taking 1st place in 1949 in Pendleton, Oregon. In high school Joe excelled as a shortstop on the state championship baseball team. Some of his first jobs were delivering watermelons and working as a grave digger. His fondest memories as a youth was pheasant hunting and listening to the Oregon State Beavers sports on the radio.

Upon graduating high school, Joe trained and was an active smoke jumper at North Cascades Smoke jumping Base in Winthrop, Washington. In 1960 he married Joan Dorthy (Helm) Primm. Together they raised 3 children. Joe worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 26 years retiring in 1987. He spent another 15 years in the private timber industry.

In Joe's retirement years, he spent time bike riding, walking, attending local sporting events, fishing and meeting with his numerous friends for coffee. He also spent 4 seasons as a caretaker at the historic Riddle Brothers Ranch in the Steens Mountains. For many years, he volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program delivering to seniors in the basin.

His wife, Joan, proceeded him into heaven on 22 December 2022. He is survived by his loving children; Brit Lindsey Primm, Keith Patrick Primm, and Amy Elizabeth Coe (Scott).
