Karen Raye Chesney of Klamath Falls, Oregon, passed away on September 2, 2025. She was born May 16, 1947, in Sutter, California, to Eva Van Eaton and Fred Kirby. Karen worked as a legal assistant and was admired for her dedication and professionalism.
Horses were one of Karen's lifelong passions-she loved riding, caring for them, and simply enjoying their beauty. She also found great joy in the kitchen, cooking and baking to share with family and friends. A talented knitter, she created heartfelt gifts that will be cherished for years to come. Above all, Karen's greatest happiness came from putting others first and making them feel loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to those she held dear.
Karen is survived by her son, Tom Chesney; granddaughters, Giselle Ceniga and Shania Wallace; and great-grandchildren, Easton and Carson Ceniga and Amelia and Aria Wallace, along with extended family and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held September 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the S. Poe Valley Road Grange, 21999 S. Poe Valley Road, Klamath Falls.
