Karen Deane Zakour

Karen Deane Zakour, 70 passed away in Klamath Falls, Ore. On Feb. 21, 2023. She was born in Scotia California on March 14, 1952 to William and Beverly Hunter. She spent most of her childhood growing up in California. She fell in love with both Smith River, California in the redwood forest and Klamath Falls, Oregon in the mountains. She worked in catering. Karen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and all types of crafting. She is also an amazing baker. Karen loved to travel anywhere - old places and new places alike. Karen was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Karen loved and cared about her family. They were her everything.

She is survived by her children, Russel(Jaimie) Zakour, Allyson Zakour (Gary , brothers, Jim Hunter and Bill Hunter, sisters, Linda (Jan) Johnson. Grandchildren Parker, Addison, Kenzie and Christopher, and greatgrandchildren Bowen and Wesley.

She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Zakour, parents Dean and Beverly Hunter and sister Peggy Hayes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cascade Cremation & Burial is assisting the family with arrangements.
