A Life Well Lived
Kathleen Frances Benson, age 62 of Klamath Falls Oregon passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2026 at Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Kathleen was commonly referred to as Kathy, Little Duck or Aunt Duck. She grew up in Morrisplains, NJ before moving west, first to Seattle WA then to Oregon, ultimately landing in Klamath Falls 12 years ago. Kathy graduated from Rutgers University with her Ph.D in research science in Molecular Biology, Genomics and Immunology.
Kathy is survived by her brother Pete Benson of Washington, NJ, her loving in-laws, her nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces, cousins and many friends that felt like family. Kathy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 36 years Tom Ford, mother and father Anne and Cal Benson, sister Christine Benson and brothers Michael and Phillip Benson.
Kathy was an energetic lover of nature, music and people. She was generous, enjoyed cooking for others and had a scientific mind.
Anyone who knew Kathy loved her. Love you Kathy and see you on the other side.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. The family kindly requests donations in memory of Kathy be made to Klamath Art Association at klamathartgallery@gmail.com or Klamath Tree League.
