LaRena Camaille

LaRena Camaille, age 82, passed away on February 22, 2026, in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

LaRena was born on April 18, 1943, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Kenneth and Thelma Vetkos. She spent most of her life in Klamath Falls, with the exception of short periods living in Louisiana.

LaRena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex "Nick" Camaille, and her infant daughter, Deloris, who passed at approximately six weeks old. She is survived by her daughter, Darlean D. Peterson, son, Mickey T. Camaille and sister, Evelyn Cofer. She also lovingly raised Russell, Sherlyn, and Linda Coates, as well as Bob Anderson, who were an important part of her family.

Throughout her life, LaRena was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked in agriculture and food service before she and her husband started Klamath Falls Logging. She continued working in the trucking industry until her retirement in 2003.

LaRena found great joy in the outdoors, especially in growing vegetables and tending to her garden. She lived in the same neighborhood most of her life where her neighbors became like family to her.

She also loved to travel and enjoyed cooking and sharing an occasional drink with friends and family. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones, who were the center of her life.

She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her love, strength, and devotion to family.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
