Marcus was born September 27, 1952 to Marcus C. and Dorris Reaves in San Jose, California. Marcus was known to many as Marc. Marc with a C is how he would often introduce himself. Marc with a C, grew up in San Jose and graduated from Camden High School in June 1970.
Shortly after, he joined the military in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge in July 1976. After leaving the Air Force he worked as a mechanic, and eventually earned certified master mechanic. He had a love for classic cars.
His parents and Marc moved to Oregon when Marc's dad retired. Marc continued to work as a mechanic and than switched gears and worked as a boat mechanic. After a big company lay off he worked in retail at a sporting goods store.
Marc retired and moved to Coquille Oregon to be closer to prime fishing and his wife Arletta's family. He had a love for fishing and treating company and grandkids to a day of fun fishing in his boat. His boat was called Lucky One by the late Uncle Larry.
Marc leaves behind his wife Arletta Reaves of Coquille, Oregon, his bulldogs Chito and Paisley, He also leaves behind his sons, Marcus Reaves of Texas, David Woodworth (Cassie Stigler) of Oklahoma, daughters Monica Reaves of Lacey Wa, Alice(Travis) Sandusky of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Angelia (Ryan) Burlison of Gates, Oregon, Sharon (Tom) Gizara of Florence, Oregon, and Maria (Aaron) Lee of Canby, Oregon. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren that he truley loved.
Marc joins various family members in heaven, and even closer to his heart he joins his best buddy, his english Bulldog, Chevy.
A celebration of life with Military honors will be held December 16, 2023 at 3:00 pm, at Family Life Center Church of God, 1067 Newmark Street, North Bend, Oregon. A reception will follow at the church after.
