Robert "Bob" Gardner, 91, passed away in Klamath Falls on Sept. 10, 2021. Bob was born on January 14, 1930 in Monticello, Calif. to Edgar and Ruby Gardner. He graduate from Winters High School in 1948 and then entered the US Army during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge in 1952. He then attended UC Davis where he studied Animal Husbandry. He later attended Cal Poly where he received his Horseshoeing Certificate in 1954. Bob worked as a cowboy on various cattle ranches in the Sacramento area, as well as horseshoeing. Bob married Dorothy J. Moore on Aug. 4, 1962 in Sacramento, Calif. Bob lived to ride horses. He was not only a horseshoer, but also a trainer, life member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association for team roping, rode cutting and reining horses and was an American Quarter Horse judge. They moved from Winters, Calif. to the Klamath Falls area in 1990.
