It’s with a heavy heart, a saddened soul, we mourn the passing of our beloved Soleil Vasham Allen on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. A loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend, she was loved by all. Soleil was born on October 23, 1996 in Saint John’s Hospital (Oxnard,California) to Kara LaDawn Allen and Donald Guyron Richards. Soleil was the youngest of four sisters. Growing up in Southern California, Soleil had a deep love for the ocean, rivers and mountains. In Soleil’s youth, she enjoyed school. She won creative writing competitions, achieved honor roll and enjoyed the time she spent in Delta, Utah, on the track field team she excelled in the shot put. She was a lover of music and lyrics and often expressed herself through writing, singing and art. Soleil was a traveler with an adventurous spirit. Soleil belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of her faith. One of Soleil‘s favorite things to do was call her grandmother DaVone, and speak for hours about the gospel. During her most recent years, Soleil was heavily afflicted with mental illness and PTSD.
