Susan Elane Kincheloe

February 23, 1957 — April 16, 2026

Susan E. "Susie" Kincheloe crossed over the Human Bridge on April 16, 2026, and was met by all her two- and four-legged friends.

Susie was born on February 23, 1957, in Santa Monica, CA, to Sylvester Edward Jones and Donna Mae Walters. She grew up in Torrance, CA and attended Sepulveda Elementary School and was a graduate from West Torrance High School in 1975.

Susie met the love of her life, James Kicheloe, on a motorcycle ride in 1978; and, over the years they took many rides together. In 1982, there were wedding bells, with many motorcycle rides and campouts. Susie and Jim were members of the Good Sam Camping Club and loved camping and making friends out on the road. 1999 came with early retirement and the couple moved to Oregon. The Kincheloes were married 38 years prior to Jim's death in December 2020.

In 2006, Susie co-founded Angles in Whiskers (AiW), a dog therapy group in Klamath Falls with JoAnna Carson of Double C Dog Training. Susie said, "at times we had more dogs than handlers." They visited all elder and foster care facilities in the area. AiW ran until 2017.

Susie also had a love for making art and crafts and gave pieces to everyone out of love. Susie's love for dogs and wolves can be seen in her home through the wall art in her living room.

Susie had the gift of love for everyone and everything. She always greeted people with a "hello, love" and never failed to say "I love you" as she left or hung up the phone. Her kindness, playful teasing, and warm sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, laughter, devotion and service will never be forgotten. Susie was generous to a fault and welcomed everyone into her home. Susie's laughter and smile were some of her most endearing qualities. Her love for all will be missed.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim; and her fur babies that she rescued and carried in her heart over many years: Stormy, Teka, Katie, Shasta, Megan, Sofi, and Panda. They were her children, her family, and love, which helped her keep going.

Susie leaves behind special friends and family: Vandy Hermann and family of Oxnard, CA, Keith White of San Luis Obispo, CA, Pastor Henry Vester of Keno, OR, Mary Nelson of Klamath Falls, Carol Pinner of Klamath Falls, Gail Shryock of Rocky Point, OR, and numerous Facebook Friends from childhood and present.

Susie would like to thank those at Bristol Hospice for their care and support; and gives a special hug to Dave for his care and laughter, and to Tammy for her understanding, big smile, and laughter.

Memorial Services for Susie will be announced at a later date. Contributions in memory of Susie can be made to Heart of Hospice Foundation. https://heartofhospicefoundationtrio.com/ways-to-donate-1
