Vicky was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on July 7 , 1961, to Leslie and Sylvia Jarvis, joining her big brother David Jarvis and big sister Brenda Jarvis. Vicky passed away due to natural causes in Portland, Oregon on August 3, 2024, surrounded by family.
Vicky being born and raised in Klamath Falls, created a lifetime of memories within the community. Graduating from Klamath Union, she went to work various jobs including an assistant manager of KFC, bartending at the Jade Room, a millworker, and most recently, working at Cadence Academy. Vicky was a social butterfly and through some friends, met the love of her life, Phil Bockelman.
Vicky was full of spunk and sass, coming in a small package of 5’1”, she was like a real-life Polly Pocket, or Vicky Pocket as we called her. She had a big heart and helped those in need to the best of her abilities. Vicky’s sense of humor was one of a kind, and her laugh was contagious. She never missed an opportunity to make other’s laugh, even before she passed, she was cracking jokes and making everyone fold over in laughter. Her big heart and generosity were something she held onto until the end as well, caring more about other’s comfort more than her own. She loved people and animals alike, never turning down a stray and opening her heart and home to provide shelter and love.
Vicky is preceded in death by her parents Les and Sylvia, brother David, sister Brenda, husband Phil, and numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. She is survived by cousins Laurie Brink of Fort Klamath, Linda Aldridge of Eugene, Michael Spencer of Klamath Falls, Corrine Lee of California, Keith Masters of Texas, Lorraine Smith of California, Yuvone Pierce of California, Vivian Churchhill of California, Robert Spencer of Idaho, Richard Leeney of Eugene, Michele Lowndes of England, Janet Turner of England, Debra Johnson of England, Dale Johnson of England, Helen Johnson of England, and Uncle Harold and Aunt Maureen Johnson of England.
