Walter Francis Bavarskas, Jr.

Walter F. Bavarskas, 85, passed away in Klamath Falls, Ore. on October 27, 2020. Walter was born April 2, 1935 in New Haven, Conn. Walt served in the US Army including combat service on the Czech border. He worked for the US Forest Service for 35 years in timber management and received a certificate of merit and certificate of recognition for his service. Walt married Mary Bissell in Essex, Conn. on Aug. 19, 1961. They lived in Klamath Falls for 48 years. Walt enjoyed hiking, camping, photography, woodworking and making jewelry. Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Klamath Falls; son, John Bavarskas of Damascus, Ore., daughters, Jennifer Bavarskas of Klamath Falls and Wendy Griffin of Portland, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
